How much is shipping?
Our shipping charges depend on location starting from $27 for NSW and QLD. We apply a flat rate for express post including handling fee.
You can ship from one to as many plants as you would like to order for this rate. Our boxes are custom made to suit our bromeliads and if your order requires additional boxes we will split the shipment over multiple boxes.
Orders over $299 are free shipping.
We use a fixed rate to minimise confusion for our clients when ordering as we want to get more bromeliads to bromeliad lovers! We do our best to optimise boxes and shipping.

NT, TAS, SA, WA addresses incur a $25 fee as a contribution to the cost of legally-required biosecurity inspections. This is INCLUDED in the shipping cost when you checkout. From the 27th of February 2024, SA will also need an extra certificate to assure that the location of origin of the plants is more than 5km away from a fire ants area. For this purpose, the Department of Primary Industry needs to issue an extra certificate to us that needs to be added to the package. This will cost $39 which will be charged to each order to SA. This brings the shipping cost to SA to a total of $94 ($30 shipping, $25 handling fee, $39 fire ants certificate). The Department reckons that this is just a temporary measure until SA chooses to utilise a code (adopted already by TAS), to add to the current paperwork which substitutes the certificate which will void the extra charge. All other states currently do not require extra certificates for fire ants security. We will update the information and costs in line with the Department regulation.
Our address verification software recognises your postcode and assigns the state fee.
We ship nationwide to all states and territories and Australian islands.
We mail to street addresses and PO Boxes.
When will my plants be packed and shipped?
We pack and ship every fortnight, except if it's a public holiday.
We pack in the order we receive the orders, as efficiently as possible. We can accommodate future packing dates within reason.
Put your date request in and we will do our best to accommodate. Any issues with it and we will call you to let you know.
We mail your plants via Australia Post where possible. Otherwise, orders go via courier.
How long will my plants take to arrive?
You will be sent a notification email when your order is shipped. Use the tracking number in your notification email to track your order's progress.
No email? Your order hasn't been shipped yet. Your plants are still in the nursery waiting to be shipped.
Please allow 14 days from shipping for delivery on average.
In peak gardening times (spring) or public holiday times (eg early spring, Easter, Christmas) your order might take longer, but we will keep you in the loop.
Sometimes, especially in urban areas, they may arrive earlier.
We do not control courier or post delivery schedules.
This is under the control of AusPost or the courier company. Please contact them regarding delivery times.
If your parcel returns to the depot, or is rerouted, that is not under our control.
NT, TAS, SA & WA : We ship to these states on Tuesdays and Thursdays, at a schedule that minimises the time the plants spend in transit. Please therefore allow 14 to 20 days from shipping notification for your parcel to arrive.
Will my plants be ok on the journey?
Yes. We pre-treat and specially hydrate all plants before shipping, so they can survive unforeseen delays like those encountered during Covid-19. They can survive three to four weeks in the boxes.
If there is a problem with the plants when you unpack them, contact us via either the refunds and returns page or our contact form and we will replace or refund you.
Can I change my delivery date? Can you hold my order for me until I need it?
We pack and ship orders as fast as we can. Then we hand them to the courier or AusPost and it's up to their schedules when they deliver to you. If you would like us to delay delivery please let us know in the comments section when checking out or via email on our contact us page and let us know. If we are unable to accommodate the request, we will call you to let you know. Normally there is no issue with this.
Can I pick up from the nursery instead?
Yes. Place your order online, select 'Pickup' at checkout, and we'll contact you when your plants are ready to collect.

Please check your order is ready for collection and our offices are open before making a long journey.
We are open for pre-booked pick-ups on Wednesdays 8.00am to 4pm.
